The first of two children's walks planned for 2015, this adventure will be led by a guide from Nature Vision, a non-profit environmental educational organization. Unlike our many densely-forested parks, the 179-acre Evans Creek Preserve provides views of meadows and wetlands as you walk along newly-constructed trails and boardwalks.
Space is limited. Attendees must sign a waiver with the City of Sammamish. Click on the second link under "Sammamish Walks" in the side bar on the right, or use this url: http://www.sammamish.us/events/sammamishWalksSignUp.aspx?ID=3552
Sammamish Walks Series - In its seventh year, Sammamish Walks is a program offered by dedicated volunteers in partnership with the City of Sammamish. Held from May through October, most walks start at 10:00 AM on the third Saturday of the month and last for about two hours. Volunteer walk leaders include wildlife experts, naturalists, photographers and park commissioners, all of whom are enthusiastic about our regional parks and trails. Bring you camera and binoculars, but please leave your dog at home, as walks focus on plants and wildlife.
