Feast 50 Kansas City Event Series: Behind the Scenes at Thou Mayest Coffee Roasters with pastries from Heirloom Bakery and Dolce Bakery
Join Feast Magazine in celebrating Feast 50 Award winners with a tour of Thou Mayest Coffee Roasters roasting facility followed by coffee samples paired with baked goods from Heirloom Bakery & Hearth and Dolce Bakery and other special local collaborations.
This event will have two tours -- one from 10 to 11 a.m. and the other from 11 a.m. to Noon. This page is for tickets for the first tour from 10 to 11 a.m.
Each ticket includes a tour of the roasting facility and operations at Thou Mayest Coffee Roasters with owner Bo Nelson as well as a complimentary coffee and pastries from Heirloom Bakery & Hearth and Dolce Bakery.
The event will also allow guests to preview two upcoming Thou Mayest products. First, Barrel Series #2 Coffee, Thou Mayest's Brazil "Rose Diamond" raw green coffee aged in a Dark Horse Distillery bourbon barrel, will be available via pourover.
Thou Mayest is also teaming up with Torn Label Brewing Co. on a "variant" of their "House Brew." For this event, Thou Mayest has barrel conditioned a Dark Horse Distillery bourbon barrel by hot brewing concentrated batches of coffee and letting it soak for 10 days. They then gave the barrel to Torn Label to age their wheat stout in. The very small batch was brewed exclusively for this event to highlight how unexpected and surprisingly smooth coffee and beer go together.
