Named by Thrillist as one of the most "secretest supperclubs" in San Francisco, Canvas Underground is a popup that has been bringing people together for great food and cool art in ever-changing venues since 2007.
The Canvas crew is comprised of Chef Peter Jackson and Vera Devera of We CraVe Detroit. A native of Berkeley, CA, Peter had a multitude of inspirational restaurants including Alice Waters' famed Chez Panisse that exposed him to the culinary world. Peter recalls, "I grew up around the corner from Chez Panisse, so I thought all restaurants were creative, fun places to work and that they all used local, sustainable, and organic ingredients. I wanted to be a part of that."
After working in many top San Francisco Bay Area restaurants, Peter now runs his own charcuterie, Boucherie Meats, and helped launched another in Mexico City. Vera moved to Detroit this past winter and Peter's flying in to prepare dishes reflecting his travels abroad.
Join us for great food and music on Saturday, August 8, in a secret location (to be disclosed to ticket buyers only) in Ferndale. Limited seating.

Due to the limited procurement of ingredients and time of preparation for this special, one-night meal, we do not offer refunds. In the event you can't join us, please try to find someone in your network who can. We guarantee it will be a fantastic night! Let us know as well so that we can find someone to fill your seats in case you can't.
The event is bring your own wine or beer. We will have wine glasses and bottle openers for you.
Tips are appreciated for our waitstaff.
