NAVY PIER KICKOFF

On July 29th, Chicago is coming together to kick off support for Bernie Sanders' run for President 2016. This is not a fundraising attempt for the Bernie 2016 campaign - this is 100% a grass-roots' run effort to provide financing for our kickoff event. There are already dozens of houses filled with supporters, and we NEED more space; which is why the Bernie campaign put it in the hands of progressives to organize this event. Right now we have secured venues at various and diverse locations including coffee shops, pizzerias and community centers, but Chicago still needs somewhere even larger to organize, get together and kick off this political revolution properly.

Which is why we will be hosting the event at the Navy Pier. The Pier is the quintessential location for a Chicago grass-roots movement, and indeed an icon of this great city - regardless of your political affiliation.

Navy Pier has agreed to offer about 8,000 square feet of professional meeting space. In addition to the actual floor space, the Pier will include commercial A/V equipment, stage risers, tables and chairs, linens and a lectern.

The cost of the venue is $2500 for the entire day. We are charging $10 per ticket, any additional proceeds will go directly to any associated clerical overhead such as flyers, banners, signs to the event, stickers, food and drinks, etc. Any remaining funds will go directly to Bernie 2016.

Again, let me remind you we are receiving NO funding from the Bernie 2016 campaign - we are just a group of extremely concerned American citizens who are certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that we can make a difference by bringing Bernie to the White House.
