MCEA's Legally Green Gala 2015
Save the evening of Thursday, October 22, 2015 for MCEA's Annual Legally Green Gala featuring a keynote presentation by Dr. Marla Spivak, Ph.D., Director of the University of Minnesota Bee Lab and MacArthur Fellow!

Spivak's research focuses on honey bees' natural defenses against diseases and parasites; their social health care. About one-third of our diet depends on bee pollination, yet bees are dying off at unprecedented rates. Just as we need good clean food, so do bees. Learn how planting floral-rich and pesticide-free landscapes can help bees help themselves.

This fun and festive event, held at the Anderson Center - Woulfe Alumni Hall on the St. Paul campus of St. Thomas University, includes a social, dinner, lively fundraising activities, and keynote presentation.

Since its founding as The Project Environment Foundation in 1974, MCEA has been at the forefront of virtually every major environmental success story in Minnesota. No other organization in Minnesota has the legal, scientific, and technical expertise that MCEA has to enact, strengthen, and enforce smart environmental laws.

Who: The 2015 Legally Green Gala will feature a keynote presentation by Dr. Marla Spivak, Ph.D., Director of the University of Minnesota Bee Lab. She will present, "Why Bees are Disappearing -- and how a Minnesota researcher is helping them help themselves."
