Event
Trapeze and Tissu with Heidi Button
We'll start each day with a dance warm-up. On Day 1 we'll focus on static trapeze tricks and skills, On day 2 we'll focus on improvisation and looking for ways to naturally string tricks together, letting each person find their own paths. We'll progress towards building, smoothing and refining routines.
We'll also look at how to use our apparatuses as an extension of ourselves, to use breath correctly and allow our bodies to work more efficiently. This makes our work easier, increases stamina and the ability to accomplish more.
Some aerial experience and upper body strength is necessary.
Day 1 skill building using breath and efficiency, Day 2 refining and smoothing sequences.
Heidi's techniques use apparatus as an extension of one's self, using breath and finding efficiency.
