The HEAD! That Wouldn't DIE! REDUX
Theatre Artists Olympia continues its 13th season with the return of its breakout hit of last year, The HEAD!! that wouldn't DIE! their homegrown bit of toe tapping horror is coming back to The Midnight Sun just in time for the Halloween season!
Based on an infamously bad B movie from 1959, The Brain That Wouldn't Die, (famously lampooned by the MST3K guys famous themselves for recognizing the truly awful), The TAO Collective has taken the original concept as a starting point and ran gleefully hacking away the old and tired and suturing to it new plot lines, loads of laughs and an awesome all original soundtrack, turning this live production into something surprising and new.
After sell out houses and an extended run, it was decided to remount HEAD! one more time. With additional cast members and new songs, the show promises to be even more heady than the first time around. Directed again by pug Bujeaud (last years recipient of the Weekly Volcano's Olympia's Best Director title) and a stellar cast, HEAD! is full of Olympia's finest; Heather Christopher Xander Layden, Vanessa Postil, John Serembe and Jesse Moore-Henrickson, along with a score of others.
Bill and Jan seem like the perfect couple, their future is bright. He is a handsome up and coming intern and she is the beautiful RN that loves him. Then one beautiful spring day, tragedy strikes. Afterwards, Jan uncovers the dark secrets that Bill has closeted away at "Summer House" for so long. And poor Janwell lets just say she isn't left with a leg to stand on. As Bill goes on a provocative quest to help his beloved Jan, she finds her mind expanded in ways never expected in the company of Bill previous experiments
