As a child, I always had a strong connection to the character of Peter Pan. He engulfed my birthday parties, my halloween costumes, and every bedtime story. So, when I turned 16 and began looking at college admissions, and what I could do to send me over the top, I came up with the extra-ordinary idea of putting on my own musical production. I've been doing theater since I was very young so I had some idea of the work and dedication that was needed for a production, and I was ready to take on the challenge. I figure what better way to show colleges my passion, work ethic, and my ability to lead than being a director. (All these traits I knew were necessary if were to earn a career in LA's District Attorney's Office as I hope to do one day) It wasn't long before I decided which show to direct. Not only could my connection to Peter drive me to make this best it could be, but also "a teenager who is still a boy himself directing a show about boy who never wishes to grow up" the marketing wrote itself! Despite every trial and setback this show is determined to soar. Leading the cast are seasoned local child actor Brett Young starring as The Youthful Peter Pan and introducing in her debut leading role Baylie Kristiansen as Ms. Wendy Moira Angela Darling. I can say without bias that this show is magic. You will be lifted from your seats, no pixie dust necessary (although some will be provided). So please come away and enjoy Neverland with us.
P.S. All foster children will receive free and all proceeds will go into local foster care programs!
