The Anata Project 5th Home Season
The Anata Project is a San Francisco-based contemporary dance company founded by Claudia Anata Hubiak in 2011.  The company was built upon the concept of 'anata', or egolessness in Tibetan Buddhism, and defined as the ever-changing nature of the formless mind. The project has received acclaim on both coasts as an exciting young company to watch, and is dedicated to creating fresh and intimate dance works for the stage and screen. Innovative choreography cultivated through Hubiak's Buddhist background has been called "true craftwith infectious spirit and a voracious appetite for movement". Originally founded in New York, the company has performed on stages spanning both coasts, including Judson Church (NYC) and ZSpace (SF). The goal of The Anata Project is to incorporate mindful action into movement and produce dances and dance films that take a deep look into the genuine and courageous workings of the unguarded mind and heart.
