Chicago Youth Shakespeare Presents JULIUS CAESAR
This culminating production of Chicago Youth Shakespeare's six-week summer program brings together high school students from communities throughout the Chicago area, including Hyde Park, Bronzeville, Ukrainian village, Edgewater, Ashburn, Ravenswood, Austin, Oak Park, River Forest, and Naperville.
Julius Caesar examines the private-self, the public-self, and celebrity. In the play, the title character returns home to Rome a war hero with his popularity at its peak; but some of his friends and fellow senators fear he has too much power. This fear sets into motion a series of events that will change the course of human history.
We will also feature a final performance of Julius Caesar at our Bard Bash Fundraiser on August 2nd! For more information or to purchase tickets to this event, please visit: http://cysbardbash2015.brownpapertickets.com/
