Beyond Basic Burlesque: Mystery Box Edition

Inspiration and creativity are the fuels of the burlesque dancer's engine. . .but sometimes we run out of fuel. In this advanced course, students are given a "Mystery Box" containing six elements which they must incorporate into a new burlesque act. The required elements are inspiring taking students out of their comfort zones and the using the provided components frees students' from the morass of decisions which sometime bog us down, allowing them to focus on the true creative process. At the end of the six weeks of guided development and feedback, students will have learned new techniques for overcoming roadblocks to creativity, and have the core of a stage-worthy new act.

This course is recommended for students who have taken our Introduction to Burlesque classes or who have had some other burlesque instruction.

Students who successfully complete the course will be able to perform their creations at The B.A.B.E. Student Showcase in October.

Enrollment in this intimate and intensive class is limited to eight students to ensure that each student is afforded the personalized coaching she needs to perfect her routine.

Classes are Tuesdays, August 11, 18, 25, September 8, 15, 22, 7:00-8:00pm
Please note: There is no class on September 1st because of The Teaseday Club.
