MAXWELL'S METAL MELEE w/ Common Wealth, Robots And Monsters, Moon Tooth, Unkempt Herald
It's been a LONG time since the legendary Hoboken venue hosted a proper night of metal. Your friends in Robots And Monsters are looking to change that with a cathartic evening of blistering, diverse and gorgeous loud-ass jams... And if you haven't been to Maxwell's lately, it's better than ever.
ROBOTS AND MONSTERS curates a night of unforgettable metal. Bloomfield, NJ metalers UNKEMPT HERALD and Long Island's most exciting, forward-thinking metal masters MOON TOOTH, along with headliners Common Wealth join together for a four-band aural assault in historic Hoboken, NJ.
COMMON WEALTH With a warped sense of theatrics and undeniable hooks, Common Wealth numbs all the senses and will leave you humming some of the most trance-like melodies, and singing fist-pumping choruses after just one listen. Lets also not forget to mention some of the most hard-hitting riffs that will grab hold of metal purists. With just the right ratio of heart to muscle, Common Wealth is definitely one band that will not be ignored; they've already began to prove themselves time and time again, lending tour support for national acts like Drowning Pool, Nonpoint, Adrenaline Mob, Otep, Eyes Set To Kill, Wednesday 13 and many more.
ROBOTS AND MONSTERS New Jersey-based Robots And Monsters, featuring ex-members of Mucky Pup, formed in 2013 around three lifelong friends-- Bill Bergmann and brothers Derek and Dylan Gadino. Soon after the release of their album "Down to Ash," Kevin Powers -- Metal Hammer once called his smile "overwhelmingly contagious" -- joined the band to take over drum duties. In early 2015, the band was featured as a Pick of the Week on VH1's That Metal Show alongside Machine Head.
MOON TOOTH Hailed as "incredibly fun, super talented, and excellent song writers" by Metal Injection, the sonically diverse Long Island metallers have been compared to the likes of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon and Baroness. But, as Metal Sucks, points out, "they somehow manage to make it sound completely original while feeling so, so familiar." With a stellar EP titled "Freaks" already gaining accolades, the band is currently recording their first full-length album. Moon Tooth is truly one of the most exciting up-and-coming heavy bands on the East Coast.
UNKEMPT HERALD Formed in the Spring of 2013, New Jersey's Unkempt Herald boasts thick, heavy grooves and odd time signatures- all complemented with Ronstin Smith's aggressive-yet-soulful vocals. The quartet, a favorite of the New Jersey metal scene, released their first album "Diatribe" in May of 2015.
