Gala Dinner at Solare to Benefit CureCMD!
Cure CMD's mission is to bring research, treatments and in the future, a cure for the Congenital Muscular Dystrophies (CMD) that have a profound affect on children as young as birth. Seven-year-old Malia, has LMNA deficient CMD. There are only a handful of doctors in the world who are working on Malia's type of congenital muscular dystrophy and one of them is based here in San Diego! Dr. Anne Bang is currently leading research that evaluates therapies which could help increase lifespan in children with Malia's type of CMD.
Funding Dr. Bang's research for two years requires $100,000. Families in Australia and Spain have already raised $82,000 for the project. Our goal is to raise the remaining $18,000!
The event will feature a five course dinner from San Diego Magazine's Best Chef of San Diego, Accursio Lota!
Wines specially selected to pair with the dinner are included with your ticket!
There will be a raffle held during the gala for fun services and products from local artisans and companies.
