Aptly nicknamed the Re-assemblers Of Whimsy, these expertly trained musicians present mashed up and re-imagined arrangements of the most familiar tunes.
Band Members: Carrie Hennessey, Soprano - Known for her ability to bring great musical and theatrical depth to her performances, Carrie Hennessey is a powerful and talented artist. Ms. Hennessey has performed in opera, theater and with symphonies all around the world. Recent engagements include her European debut at the International Mahler Festival in Jihlava, Czech Republic, performances in Austria and Central Europe including Dvorak Hall in Prague and her riveting NYC debut in Poulenc's French melodrama La Voix Humaine.Ms. Hennessey's much awaited debut in Previn's A Streetcar Named Desire "gave us a Blanche that let us burrow into her character's soul, even into the darkest crevicesHennessey, using a one-two punch of music and drama, made it resonate in a way that equaled the finest stage performances of the part I've seen." Jennifer Reason, keyboard and vocals - Hailed by German critics as a performer "in the league of Carnegie Hall," a "rising star" whose playing is "lush, sensual and colorful: like a painting" (Sulzbach-Rosenberger, 2011 and 2013), Jennifer Reason has appeared in solo and ensemble performances across Europe, the United States and Canada. A widely versatile musician, Ms. Reason has shared the stage with many diverse acts, from rockers Jonathan Cain (Journey), Michael Carabello (Santana) and Jerry Martini (Sly and the Family Stone) to Broadway stars such as Faith Prince and Jason Graae, to classical heavyweights Hope Briggs (San Francisco Opera), Steven Mackey (composer in residence, Princeton) and Holly Stell ("Little Pavarotti"). Tim Stevenson, drums and vocals - Tim Stephenson is a jazz percussionist known for his diverse talents and ability to adapt to new situations. Throughout his career, Mr. Stephenson has played in many groups with genres ranging from Classical, Jazz, and Latin, to Rock, Pop, Folk, and Country. A multi-instrumentalist, Mr. Stephenson has performed on guitar, piano, mandolin, and voice in addition to percussion. Because of this diversity, he has had the honor of singing with Ben Folds and the Seattle Symphony, playing drum set with Butterscotch, Donny McCaslin, Davie Allen, and Joe Gilman, and has performed throughout the Pacific Northwest in many musical situations. In recent years, Mr. Stephenson has played internationally, performing with a jazz quartet in Dublin, Ireland and has toured in Italy and The Netherlands with Northern California Surf Rock Band, The Pyronauts. Brett Cole, bass and vocals - Described by many as a "charismatic showman", Brett Cole has been performing professionally for over the last decade, mainly with The Pyronauts. With a background in Rockabilly and Instrumental Surf Music, he applied his love of performing to Jazz, Orchestral, Symphonic, and Musical Theater while attending school. Over the years he has recorded in California from San Diego to Eureka. Performances have included Mammoth Mountain Resort, Cal-Neva Resort, Huntington Beach Pier, Midnight Mass (Sacramento), Lava Lounge (Hollywood), San Francisco Academy of Sciences, Slims (San Francisco), McNears Mystic Theatre (Petaluma), The Crest Theatre (Sacramento), California State Fair Main Stage. Main Support for Elvis Costello, Dick Dale, Peter Tork (The Monkees), Red Elvises, Slacktone, Zepparella. With over 600 performances and counting, Brett has been spreading his love of music and infectious personality with every audience he encounters.
