Join Per Scholas, Thomson Reuters, and CA Technologies on July 14, to celebrate the ways women are transforming the technology industry. Support our goal to help women from all backgrounds launch life-changing careers in technology, and help us build the network of support for woman technologists in NYC as we strive towards our goal to train 1000 WOMEN IN TECH by 2018.

Thank you to our sponsors CA Technologies and Thomson Reuters for hosting and sponsoring the event, and to The Kate Spade Foundation and New York Women's Foundation for their sustaining support of Per Scholas' Women in Tech training program.

Complementary wine and refreshments will be served.

*Women AND men welcomed.

Despite accounting for 47% of the total workforce, women make up only 26% of computer and math occupations today. Women of color are even more underrepresented with African-American women filling only 3% computing jobs and Hispanic/Latina women only 2%. Per Scholas initiated Women in Tech to address this industry gap and because we recognized the urgent need to engage larger numbers of women, especially from communities of color, in IT careers.

Per Scholas is dedicated to increasing the representation of women particularly women of color entering the IT sector in NYC and nationwide. Our IT training will inspire, train and support at least 200 women in NYC to become IT professionals each year for a total 1000 WOMEN training and working in the IT sector over five years.

425 women have graduated from Per Scholas since 2012
31% Per Scholas students today are women
75% Per Scholas graduates obtain jobs within a year
89% Per Scholas women graduates are women of color
$15.62 Average starting wage of Per Scholas' women graduates
