Abandoned by a wife more dedicated to career than home, Sam remains the steadfast, albeit reluctant, father of Robbie who battles him over the years about the rules, their careers, and the women in their lives. Circumstances bring them back together where
roles reverse, and Robbie becomes the reluctant but willing caretaker.
