On July 3rd, kick off the Independence Day weekend in high style with an evening aboard a perfectly reconstructed replica of the Hermione, the Condor-class frigate that ferried the Marquis de Lafayette to the battlefields of revolutionary North America. Join this celebration of the Hermione's arrival in New York and the 250th anniversary of Morris-Jumel Mansion, Washington's headquarters during the Battle of Harlem Heights. The reception will feature food, drinks, Revolutionary War-era music, and lively historic discussion in an unforgettable setting. The Hermione will provide living history at its most intimate, and a chance to relax and converse alow and aloft from her quarterdeck to her forecastle.
