STARS ON THE HILL
What: 5th Annual Stars on the Hill featuring MasterClass Big Band
Where: Arbor Crest Winery
When: August 18, 2015, 5 p.m.-9p.m.
P.E.O. Chapter CW will sponsor its fifth annual Stars on the Hill event, Tuesday, August 18, from 5-9 p.m., at Arbor Crest Winery. Proceeds from the event will be used to support P.E.O. philanthropies.
Tickets are $20 each or two for $35 and available by contacting Janelle Lee at 509-290-2917 or johnandjanelle@comcast.net and will also be available at the door. The ticket price includes hors d'oeuvres, dessert and live music by MasterClass Big Band. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle and Arbor Crest will offer a 15 percent case discount during the event.
Music will be provided by the 20-piece big band, MasterClass Big Band. The MasterClass Big Band is a multi-generational sensation bringing outstanding high-school musicians and vocalists together with top-notch veteran performers. Always uplifting, always exciting, always professional, the MasterClass Big Band showcases these young artists with a wide variety of superbly played dance numbers and stirring concert arrangements. Enjoy the big band hits of yesterday and today as recorded by stars like Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Michael Buble', Count Basie, Chicago and others delightfully performed by this area's most distinctive big band ensemble.
There will also be a silent auction with various gift baskets and art, and a raffle.
Chapter CW has raised more than $25,000 in the past four years for P.E.O. projects with the Stars on the Hill event.
The P.E.O. Sisterhood, founded January 21, 1869, at Iowa Wesleyan College, Mount Pleasant, Iowa, is a philanthropic and educational organization interested in bringing to women increased opportunities for higher education. There are approximately 6,000 local chapters in the United States and Canada with nearly 250,000 active members. Chapter CW was organized in Spokane in 1945.
