Summer Solstice Concert & Cocktails
Master Guitarist and Composer Todd Mosby and seasoned Cellist and improvisor Tracy Andreotti combine to offer a special Solstice evening of organic cocktails and appetizers accompanying a Summer Solstice Concert. The event takes place at SEEDZ Cafe on Saturday, June 20, 6344 South Rosebury, Demun, Mo. 65105, 314-725-7333. The event is presented by Mosby Music Group and SEEDZ Cafe.
Mosby is currently working on a recording project with multi-grammy winning producer and guitarist Will Ackerman, founder of Windham Hill Records. Todd will present this new body of lush solo acoustic guitar music from this project and also premiere a new set of Solstice compositions for cello and guitar. Todd has extensive training in classical North Indian music under the guidance of Ustadt Imrat Khan. At Berklee College of Music, Todd received Specialist Certification in Acoustic Guitar, Jazz Guitar, Improvisation, Composition, Orchestration and film scoring. Teachers include Gary Burton, Jim Kelly, Norm Zocher and Rick Peckham to name a few.
Tracy Andreotti Cellist and composer is equally at home in both Classical and Creative Improvised music. She is the principal cellist with Union Avenue Opera and is the cellist and co-founder of Trinity Piano Trio and the St. Louis Avant-Garde Ensemble, among other groups. An avid improvisor, Tracy has collaborated extensively on original works with local and national dancers, and has performed and recorded with many new music improvisers, including Andre Vida, Michael Schumacher, and Tom Sutter. She has a B.A., Brandeis University, M.M., St Louis Conservatory of Music; principal teachers Savely Schuster, Yuan Tung with chamber music coaching with Joseph Kalechstein, Michael Tree, and members of the Lydian Quartet. Eclectic chamber music experience includes 6 years with the award winning contemporary music group Synchronia.
SEEDZ Cafe will be offering a special Solstice drink and appetizer menu to compliment the performance. SEEDZ Om Brew Beer, Biodynamic Wine by the glass or bottle, House made Sangria, cold brewed tea, hand brewed coffee, fresh juiced lemonade as well as a special array of Solstice Appetizers will be offered.
