Sustainable Lobster Workshop with Luke's Lobster
Join us for an evening hosted by Luke's Lobster co-founder Ben Conniff all about Maine lobster, an exemplary model of the modern sustainable fishery. We'll cover sustainable practices' effect on the environment and local community, lobster nutrition, handling and cooking methods inspired by the new Luke's cookbook Real Maine Food, and give you a peek into a day in a lobsterman's life.

Then you'll get crackin' at tackling your own lobster while sipping a crisp white overlooking the Manhattan skyline! The Luke's Cookbook will be available to all guests at a rare discount, so be sure to grab a copy. You'll leave confident in your abilities to cook lobster, a lean sustainable protein you can feel great about enjoying, all on your own!

Tickets are non-refundable due to high demand. Rain or shine, we've got shelter.

ABOUT LUKE'S LOBSTER

In 2009, Luke's Lobster launched in the heart of NYC's East Village.  Luke's Lobster brings the sea to the city in a rustic, relaxed seafood shack setting that celebrates its founder's native Maine.  The organization is anchored by a commitment to sustainably-sourced seafood, champions its purveyors, and takes great pride in an absolute ability to trace its culinary offerings in the journey from the ocean to the plate. The modest menu highlights superior ingredients, with fresh lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls at the helm, along with a selection of chowders and bisques.  Luke's Lobster enjoys many accolades, including two-time winner of Tasting Table's Lobster Roll Rumble, and the company has been featured everywhere from The TODAY Show and New York Times to The Food Network, GQ, Inc., and Forbes. In April 2015, Luke's Lobster released a cookbook, Real Maine Food (Rizzoli), featuring recipes and stories from some of Maine's top farmers, fishermen, and cooks.
