Eric Williamson Presents: a Bon Voyage Recital
Who: A native of Teaneck, NJ, Eric Williamson received his Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in African & African American studies from the Pennsylvania State University. He was awarded the Willa Taylor Undergraduate Conducting Internship and an Undergraduate Assistant-ship to work with Penn State's University Choir. Eric Williamson is a young Tenor who has performed nation-wide and overseas as a soloist. With recent acceptance into the International Lyric Academy in Rome, he will perform as Ferrando in their summer production of Mozart's, "Cosi Fan Tutte". He currently works with Grammy awarding winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus as a chorus manager and co-teacher.
What: Join me for a night in music through song. I will share new and past repertoire that I love to sing. Features works from Handel, Schubert, Donizetti, Mozart, and more!
Why: I have been accepted to attend the International Lyric Academy in Rome and Viterbo this summer to perform in Mozart's "Cosi Fan Tutte" as Ferrando and I need your help! In this program I will have the opportunity to work under Maestro del Coro and Stefano Vignati. This program is a wonderful learning experience! It will offer daily lessons in the Italian language hosted in a local Café in the middle of the ancient part of the city. Voice lessons will be given at numerous times throughout the week and will be intense and focused. In addition to normal private instruction, I will have multiple opportunities to participate in Master Classes from various on staff faculty around the world!
