Modus Méchanique is an experimental ballet with printing presses and percussion that explores the intersections between body and machine, ephemera and the archive, music, movement, memory and materiality.
Please join us Thursday, June 11th at 8pm for a night of music, dance, performance art and a live printing demonstration at The Aesthetic Union, San Francisco. Featuring local maker and print artist James Tucker making his musical debut on the letterpress with musician Daniel Yasmin, performing a score developed by composer and sound artist Goyo Aranaga.

The Aesthetic Union, San Francisco is a correspondence & print shop on Alabama Street inside the Heath Ceramics building in the Mission that specializes in smaller, high end print runs. Bad Unkl Sista is a performance installation ensemble that combines stillpoint choreography, improvised music, couture costuming, and physical theater elements to produce site-specific experiences that seek to move each witness to a state of extraordinary and memorable being.
