Instructors: Fred Landers and Heidi Stauber Credits: 1 Dates/Times: Friday, July 24, 10 am 5 pm Saturday, July 25, noon 4 pm
The therapeutic alliance between therapist and client is fostered by trust. This very personal journey of discovery is enhanced when the status inherently held by the therapist permits a sense of play, especially around issues of the power dynamic. This course will utilize Drama Therapy tools such as improvisation and forms in Developmental Transformation to explore how internalized oppression, trauma, and stigma can be addressed through active strategies.
Fred Landers, PhD, RCT/BCT, LMHC, LCAT is a Drama Therapy Teaching Faculty member. He is a practitioner of Developmental Transformations (DvT) and was the keynote speaker at the DvT conference in April. Fred also serves on the editorial board of the Drama Therapy Review.
Heidi Stauber, MA, DT, LMFTA is 2014 Antioch University Seattle graduate with a degree in Couples and Family Therapy with a Drama Therapy Specialization. She is a Child and Family Therapist at Southwest Youth and Family Services. She leads an Expressive Arts Therapy with high school-aged students as well as New Futures Improv with children Kindergarten through 6th grade.
