azamra Benefit Concert for RAIN-Uganda
azamra ("i will sing") combines the trance-inducing sounds of Kirtan and Sufi chants with ancient Hebrew. azamra band members are Sam Feinsmith, Lizzi Heydemann, Yoni Sarason, Hannah Shefsky, and Steve Yastrow, and our goal is to open a channel to meaning and spiritual connection through music. We are grateful that this will be a benefit performance, with all proceeds going to support the important work of RAIN-Uganda, an NGO on the ground in rural east Africa, doing HIV and cervical cancer screening, education and prevention.
