We Could Fill Five Acts; We Could Fill Ten: Plays by and for Young People
After two successful productions last summer, Semicolon Theatre Company is back again, bringing to life two fully staged premieres and three one-night-only staged readings at the Kraine Theater on E 4th Street. After receiving over 150 submissions, we selected this group for their startling honesty and the directness with which they address the experience of being a young person today. That the majority of our playwrights are women, a rarity in the New York theatre scene, is an added bonus. Through these works, we hope to foster a creative environment for young people that is ardent, daring, and full of raw talent.
