The GigTown local music app launched in January and since then we've seen and heard so many amazing artists all over San Diego. From incredibly talented soloists to full bands who rock the house, there's a lot of musicians to love in GigTown, and we certainly do love them all. That's why we're going to be hosting a full day of music at the coolest new venue in San Diego, the Quartyard. To show our support, half of every ticket sold will go straight to the artists.
Speaking of the artists - we've got an absolutely stacked lineup of local musicians that if you haven't heard yet, you need to.
We'll be kicking things off with Raelee Nikole who is an incredible talent at just 19 years old and with a new album dropping a couple days before the event, you're sure to hear some new music you'll dig.
22 Kings will follow up Raelee with their killer harmonies and feel good folk/rock. They have a recently released single "Bringing Me To Life" which can be listened to exclusively on the GigTown app. Check it out!
Tolan Shaw is returning to San Diego from his recent West Coast tour where he shared songs from his new album "Chin Up" which is already receiving airplay all over the US.
Next up is Aquile, who you may remember blowing away the judges in Season 3 of The Voice. With an album in the works and some awesome original songs already out there (check out "Typical" on the app!), you can expect to be feeling the San Diego summer vibes.
Charlie Rae will come on after Aquile and simply put, she will blow your mind. With soul and vocal chords that go for days, it'll only take you a song or two to realize there's something special going on here.
Lee Coulter and his bandmates will then keep the good times rolling with his soulful acoustics that earned him Sirius XM's Coffee House channel's "Discovery of the year" distinction.
Last but certainly not least, Pacific Records artist Sandollar will send the party out in style with some upbeat reggae/rock. Their song "San Diego Girl" might be one of the best songs about this amazing city. Don't miss out.
All in all, good music and good vibes are guaranteed all day long, provided by some of the best local musicians in town. The music gets going at 1pm and ends at 8pm, so come on by for a brew, bring the family (this is kid & dog friendly!), support our local artists, and enjoy the San Diego summer that makes everyone else jealous.
