The surreal musical comedy CHAZA SHOW CHOIR is going to be screened at Anthology Film Archives on Saturday May 30th, 2015. The film, co-directed by Theresa Columbus and Didier Leplae, was made after the theatrical play of Chaza Show Choir, created by Columbus, toured the USA. Using experimental film techniques and parodying musical theatre, it packs a big off-kilter punch!
Also Jen Emma Hertel's short film WE, THE PLAYERS will be premiering. Filmed in various locations in Bushwick in 2014, this short film is about a DIY local music scene and the noise punk band We, the Players. Its a short homage about DIY music scenes and basement shows.
