GAY BASH presented by Comic Strip Live NYC
Join the world famous Comic Strip Live every Sunday in June at 2PM for GAY BASH, a variety show and comedy infused brunch during Pride. Drag legend Sweetie (To Wong Foo, Starrbooty, Wig Out) will host the weekly event featuring a stellar cast which includes openly gay comedian, Adam Sank (NBC's Last Comic Standing, FOX's Laughs, Vh1's I Love the 2000s), drag stars Peppermint, Destiny Devine and PhilEsha De Lox,  Playgirl's advice columnist and relationship expert, Robbyne Kaamil, Sheba Mason (702 Punchlines & Pregnant: The Jackie Mason Musical) and Talia Gil.

Comic Strip Live will be debuting a special brunch menu and have $5 bloody marys and mimosas.

Sweetie (Drag Queen) Featured on Bravo's Project Runway and seen on Oprah, Sweetie is a full tilt, larger than life, bold, beautiful, plus sized bundle of dynamite. Celebrated as New York City's Best Lipsync Artist 13 years in a row and two time Drag Entertainer of the Year, Sweetie has won coveted roles in the major motion picture To Wong Foo, Rupaul's cult comedy Starrbooty, and Off Broadway's smash hit Wig Out at the highly respected Vineyard Theatre. Sweetie's downtown roots include runs and appearances at Ps122, Here, The Public Theater, Joe's Pub, The Abrams Arts Center, and Dixon Place.  Sweetie's long time affiliation with TWEED Theater has afforded her high praise for her hysterical takes on William Inge's Picnic, Tennessee William's Summer and Smoke, and adaptations of film classics A Patch of Blue, Ordinary People and The Postman Always Rings Twice.

Adam Sank (Comedian) is one of the most recognized and accomplished openly gay stand-up comics in the country, having been featured on NBC's Last Comic Standing, FOX's Laughs, Vh1's I Love the 2000s and Best Week Ever, CNN's @ThisHour, CNBC's Street Signs and truTV's World's Dumbest Criminals, along with numerous radio appearances as both a guest and fill-in host on Sirius-XM's OutQ channel. He has hosted two OutQ specials  the Frank DeCaro 50th Birthday Roast, and Derek & Romaine's 10-Year Anniversary Special For more information, visit www.adamsank.com.

Peppermint (Drag Queen)'s song, "Serving it Up" was named one of the top songs of the year by Next Magazine and HXMagazine. Peppermint was recently featured on MTV's The Real World Brooklyn and has been featured in videos with Debbie Harry and the Scissor Sisters. She has also performed alongside Chaka Khan, Martha Wash, and Ultra Nate' for packed houses around the world and she recently took her show (complete with backup dancers and pyrotechnics) overseas to London and Australia.

Robbyne Kaamil (Comedian) 's sassy style has landed her appearances on The Howard Stern Show and numerous other radio and television shows across the country. She recently completed a tour of her electrifying one woman show, Life from One Woman's Perspective which weaves excerpts from her popular poetry book Get off the Titty with side-ripping comedy and riveting dramatic interludes to explore relationships, politics and life. Kamil was named the Official Relationship Expert for Playgirl Magazine and has a been featured as a relationship expert in Essence, Next and Odyssey magazines, East Village Radio, Sirius Radio, Clear Channel 98 Rock's Morning Show and CBS Radio  Baltimore

Destiny Devine (Drag Queen) Destiny Devine began her career in 2009 when she landed a starring role in a show called Icons, where she impersonated Beyoncé Knowles, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, RuPaul and Nicki Minaj. In the spring of 2012 Destiny wrote, produced and performed two critically acclaimed shows: 2012, The Year of Love, and The Emancipation of Dennis and Destiny. She has been on the covers of magazines such as Provincetown, Get Out and Next. She has also appeared in various films, including A Killing Day, Saving Julian and the reality show pilot Mr. Gay World USA.

Sheba Mason (Comedian) was born into a theatrical family - Jackie Mason (comedian) and Ginger Reiter (playwright). Currently Sheba performs nightly in comedy clubs in Manhattan spouting her unique witticisms, on everything from politics to Grandmas being single in New York. She stars as her mother in 702 Punchlines & Pregnant: The Jackie Mason Musical a full cast musical-comedy depicting the tumultuous love affair of her off-beat parents.

Talia Gil (Comedian) was born and raised in New York City, Talia's been featured for a bunch of hot shot Long Island comics and also pens smutty romance novels under a pseudonym.

PhilEsha De Lox (Drag Queen) is the new queen on the scene. Her comedy explores tales of homosexual exploits and light-hearted offensive jokes. PhilEsha's performances often push the boundaries of gender norms; she combines both masculine and feminine elements in her avant guard looks. She aspires to be the Conchita Wurst of comedy.
