Pink Pig Ballet and Susanne Jeffery are proud to present a new story ballet written by Karen Cottrell, and choreographed by Valerie Mae Browne; with music by the late-great Heitor Villa-Lobos, as recorded by Alfred Heller and Miranda Soo Lan Harding.
It is based on the Brazilian mythology surrounding the passing of light, dark, and the weather patterns throughout the course of a day. The light and dark compete to rule over the horizon while their assistants battle (and love!) along side them.
But our program doesn't end there! We are also presenting new works by the magical Mr. AJ Pflumm, something classical, and a few revisited pieces of PPB repertory!
Long story short, it's going to be a good time!!!
