"OF ORDINARY THINGS" - Inspirations from Warhol
OF ORDINARY THINGS - Inspirations from Warhol is a two program event taking place at the Andy Warhol Museum, 117 Sandusky ,Pittsburgh, PA 15212 - Saturday, August 15, 2015.
Featured artists Anime'BOP! ensemble will join forces with MAC dancers to present the images and quotes of Andy Warhol in two performances at the Warhol museum Theatre, as part of their summer Sound Series, " Year of the Family".
The first program will be a one hour show for young audiences. This concert at 2:00pm will introduce the instruments, dancers and explain the interaction between the art forms of music and dance. This show is presented free to the public with the assistance of Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council & Project Stream funding.
The full length evening program will be at 7:00 pm. This performance will celebrate Andy Warhol, through his art and writings. This unique program will offer original choreography from MAC, featuring live music from Anime'BOP!, and a backdrop of colorful art and wisdom, from the Warhol collection. Join us at the Warhol theatre for the one of a kind event!! Advanced tickets are recommend since seating is limited.
Anime'BOP! is a trio of BassoonOboePiano ensemble that features music from Classical to New Age to Pop. Its members are Linda Morton Fisher, Robin Driscoll, and Robert Frankenberry. The ensemble was launched in 2008 when it won the Pittsburgh Chamber Music Society Competition, and has since presented programs in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Its members are principal players of the Pittsburgh Opera, Ballet and Opera Theatre groups and well as faucutly of the University of Pittsburgh.
