This workshop is geared toward food hub planners and operators (both for- and non-profit) and will leave participants with tools they can utilize immediately to improve their market research and development.
Workshop will include:

Marketing Strategy Framework: an annual planning process for branded business

- Linking business objectives and marketing activities
- Establishing brand foundations
- Identifying target customers
- How to design marketing to support brand value

The Creative Brief: getting the most from your marketing suppliers

- Importance of a creative strategy
- How to develop, implement, and manage effective  creative strategy briefs


Presenter Bio:

Kathy Nyquist, New Venture Advisors, Illinois
Kathy founded NVA in 2009 to bring advanced business strategy, thought leadership and entrepreneurial momentum to the emerging sustainable food industry. Her work has led to the launch of numerous food hub businesses including Blue Ridge Produce, a keenly-watched model for the rebuilding of local food systems, where she serves on the advisory board. Kathy has over 20 years of marketing and strategic leadership experience with Fortune 100 companies. She served on the integrated marketing leadership team for a $5 billion product portfolio at Kraft Foods. Kathy previously managed accounts at Leo Burnett and Young & Rubicam, then the nation's largest advertising agencies, developing national campaigns for Coca-Cola, Keebler, Frito-Lay and Miller Brewing.
