Lawrence Lessig and Marianne Williamson at Town Hall Seattle
Join us for the Seattle premiere of the new documentary, "Killswitch: The Battle to Control the Internet". Renowned guest speakers Lawrence Lessig and Marianne Williamson invite you to view this exciting, provocative film and engage in a discussion about the corrupting impact of money on democracy and the American media. Lawrence Lessig is the Roy L. Furman Professor of Law and Leadership at Harvard Law School and Director of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University. He is the author of several books including "The USA is Lesterland" and "Republic, Lost: How Money Corrupts Congress - and a Plan to Stop It"". Lessig is affiliated with numerous activist organizations including Mayday PAC, Rootstrikers and The New Hampshire Rebellion. Marianne Williamson is a celebrated speaker and best-selling author, "A Return to Love" and "Healing the Soul of America". Williamson directs Sister Giant, a yearly conference to awaken empathy and awareness for social change amidst our toxic political climate. This event is presented by Occupy.com: Independent, international news for the 99%. All ticket sales benefit Lessig's grassroots organization: The New Hampshire Rebellion, a citizen-led effort to catapult systemic corruption as the #1 issue for all 2016 presidential candidates. Seattle-based advocacy groups will be present to inform the public about specific initiatives for local, state and national reforms. Join us for this multimedia event to be informed and inspired by trans-partisan solutions. With your participation we can help end the destructive influence of money in politics.
