A Little Night and Day Music
Composers have always created magic with music. Some were pieces for nighttime gatherings, for dancing, for accompanying meals, for amusement and diversion. Let us entertain you with serenades by Dohnanyi and Reger, a Beethoven string trio and duos by Handel/Halvorsen and Villa Lobos.
Performers: Frank Huang, violin Dimitri Murrath, viola David Requiro, cello Linda Chesis, flute
FRANK HUANG is currently concertmaster of the Houston Symphony. In September, he begins his tenure as concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic. First Prize Winner of the 2003 Walter W. Naumburg Foundation's Violin Competition and the 2000 Hannover International Violin Competition, Mr. Huang has established a major career as a violin virtuoso. Recent concerts include debuts in Wigmore Hall, Salle Cortot, Kennedy Center, Herbst Theatre, and also his second recital in Alice Tully Hall.
