"Speech Gems" is the Las Positas College Speech Team's showcase of presentations and performances that the team members have competed with at local, national, and international tournaments. The presentations you'll be seeing will inform you, make you laugh, touch you, and amaze you! Directed by Janet Brehe Johnson and Tim Heisler, the Team took community college sweepstakes awards at both their national and international competitions. The presentations include public speaking, oral interpretation of literature, and a readers theater performance of "The Splendid Stones," a 25-minute show with compiled literature about gemstones and the impact they have on our lives. The evening's performers will be team members Katie Lai, Trevor March, Jacob Montez, and Jessica Samorano, with Kyra Tillmans and Rajiv Vijayakumar as hosts. All performances are highly polished and a joy to watch. Join us for a fun evening of live entertainment!
