What Happened to the Dollar
Abstract Sentiment Theatre Co. presents "What Happened to the Dollar" written by our Resident Playwright, Sam Graber.
Synopsis:
What would happen the day after the U.S. dollar crashed?
In an abandoned Blockbuster store, Shift and Kit spend their days and nights as part of a youth class that is unemployed, abandoned and finding meaning in online games. Van arrives, an Ivy league graduate, ashamed by what he believes is his first day as a new Blockbuster employee. The trio merges its talents and creates a new currency within a popular online game.
Meanwhile, their actions are countered by Donna Steelmint, Chair of the Federal Reserve, who believes radical action must be taken to prevent the fall of the dollar. The United States is too big to fail. Or is it?
Ultimately, the shadows between fantasy and reality merge, and all are trapped in the sorcery of controlling the ultimate app the currency of the world.

Abstract Sentiment Theatre Company strives to create an immersible artistic platform that implicates the collision between art, dance, music and theatre. It focuses on experimentation of new works as well as we revisit classic works with an inventive theme.
Our company has a reputation for working in non-traditional spaces and under an immersive format in an attempt to connect to audiences and push theatre in a new and more interesting direction.
We vow to create and produce work that is thought provoking, emotive and ultimately outside of the realm of normal.
