"Anon(ymous)" is a beautiful, gritty, very contemporary re-telling of the "hero's journey", based upon Homer's The Odyssey. This play explores themes of immigration, poverty, violence, interculturalism, and the meaning of home. It is a beautiful reflection of the diversity of UW Tacoma, our city, and our region, and is written to be accessible to broad audiences in age, ethnicity, and experience. Produced by Toy Boat Theatre, in conjunction with UW Tacoma, with support from UWT and the Tacoma Arts Commission.
"Anon(ymous)" is suitable for audiences from 5th grade through adult. The play tells a compelling story through vivid characters with humor, pathos, and some moments of stage violence.
