The EMTT Group presents 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE!! An excessive interactive musical that will have you laughing hysterically for more!
Join the lives of six students to discover the world of the BEE! Where you learn how six spellers enter a spelling bee. And only one comes out a winner! Do you dare become an honorary speller yourself? Challenge your spelling ability by becoming a speller! With this interactive show, it will have you jumping up and down, dancing, and even spelling!! Join us for two weekends only!!
The EMTT group will transform the Ethel Percy Jackson Theatre at Abraham Lincoln High School, to become more of an intimate space for this student production of 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. With an interactive and lively musical, we take our audience to experience the lives of an eclectic group of six mid-pubescent vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home life, the tweens spell their way through a series of [potentially made-up] words hoping to never hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box. With this interactive show where the audience get a chance to spell themselves, we are making this a fun experience that will never be the same every show!
