Cricket & Snail Benefit Concert for the Washington Chapter of the HDSA
Indulge yourself and bring a friend to this fun benefit! The featured act is 'Cricket & Snail' a lively acoustic duo who will treat us with melodies that evoke French cafés, Celtic dances, Jewish weddings, and sitting out on the porch in the summer. Combining sweetness, vivacity, humor and refined musicianship, their eclectic mix of music will delight one and all!
The evening will also include snacks and an art, craft and vintage auction. To engage your competitive side, we'll cap off the evening with a "dessert-dash" featuring some unbelievable desserts.
All proceeds from the evening will support the HDSA with its mission to improve the lives of families who are impacted by Huntington's disease, as well as promoting and supporting research towards a cure. This event is dedicated to Helen Holstine (Kreucher), the grandma of John Carlson, the event coordinator. (And also the grandma of Jim Carlson, the accordionist in the featured musical duo Cricket & Snail) Helen was a caregiver for many years for her husband Art, who had a long struggle with HD.
If you are not able to attend the concert but would like to make a donation anyway, please use the ticketing option for "donation only," for which Brown Paper Tickets assures us they will waive their fee. Thanks.
