Apsaras Classical Indian Dance
This will be an unforgettable evening of Indian classical dance by a trio of dancers from the Apsaras Arts Dance Group. Apsaras Arts Dance group was founded 15 years ago in Richmond, Virginia by its director, owner, and choreographer, Mrs. Uma Chetty. Dancers Janani Hari, Anu Udayakumar, and Uma Chetty perform in the style of Bharatha Natyam, which originated in South India. This style is known for its intricate foot work, hand movements, eye movements and facial expressions all combined with fluid body movements and steps.

Seating is limited, and seats in the front will be reserved for advance ticket purchasers, so get your tickets early. Also, anyone with a ticket to the performance will receive free admission to the workshop that Apsaras will be presenting the following day.
