Jeff Golub's 60th Birthday Bash
New York, NY (March 26, 2015) On Thursday, April 16, from 7 to 10 pm, the original members of Jeff Golub's Low Profile and Avenue Blue bands will gather at The Bitter End (147 Bleecker Street) to celebrate the great guitarist, who passed away this New Year's Day of complications associated with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). April 15 would have been his 60th birthday. Tickets are available at The Bitter End box office (212-673-7030) for $20 each. All revenue will be donated to CurePSP.
In addition to his highly visible work with rock stars Rod Stewart and Billy Squier, Golub led a successful career as a solo artist and bandleader for more than two decades. The roster of former bandmates slated to perform includes Steve Barbuto, Jimmy Biggens, Christopher Bishop, Steve Gaboury, Don Harris, Jeff Levine, and Kenny White. Special guest appearances by Elaine Caswell, Bill Evans, Mick Gaffney, William Galison, Chico Huff, John McCurry, John Putnam, Marc Shulman,and Skoota Warner will round out the program.
