Pianist Jason Andrews plays works inspired by legends and exotic lands, featuring Charles Griffes "Pleasure Dome of Khubla Khan" and Yvar Mikhashoff's "Portrait of Madame Butterfly".
Jason Andrews, a native of Texas, is frequently heard in solo piano, vocal, and chamber music recitals. Mr. Andrews has performed in many of New York City's noted venues, including Weill Recital Hall, Zankel Hall, Stern Auditorium of Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Symphony Space, Steinway Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Trinity Church's Noonday Concerts, the Piano Salon of Yamaha Artist's Services Inc., the Leiderkranz Foundation Recital Hall, the Kosciusko Foundation, the Tenri Cultural Institute, the LeFrak Auditorium of Queens College, Columbia University, Bard College, and Symphony Hall in Boston.  He has also played a recital at the Musée Maurice Ravel, Montfort-l'Amaury, France.
Mr. Andrews is often featured artist of the Music at Saint Alban's Recital Series in Staten Island. He has presented many solo and collaborative recitals for the series as well as performing Beethoven's Choral Fantasy for piano, orchestra, and chorus.  Mr. Andrews also performs with the Saint Alban's Piano Trio, of which he is the founder.  He also performs quite often for the Concerts at Christ Church Series in Pelham Manor.  His most recent performances on this series include the Mozart concerto No. 14 KV 449 in E - flat major, the Britten St. Nicholas Cantata, and Beethoven's Choral Fantasy accompanied by the Sinfonia Celestis ensemble.  He will be heard again at Saint Alban's in May of 2015, with organist Kenneth Hamrick, in a program of duets for piano and organ including Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
