WE GO BOOM! is an ensemble created new play that explores the impact of the tech industry in Oakland.
Created through interviews, personal stories, and physical exploration, the piece asks the questions:
+ Why is there a lack of diversity in the tech industry?
+ How does the presence of the tech industry positively and negatively effect long time Oakland residents and residents of color?
+ How is technology changing the way that we communicate and interact with our communities?
+ and.... Where do we go from here?
