Anita, a young woman with Down syndrome, gets separated from her mother after a bomb explodes at their Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires. As she wanders the city searching for her mom - alone for the first time ever - she discovers an inner strength few could have expected.

OPENING EVENT GUEST SPEAKER Frank Stephens has been blessed with one extra chromosome in each cell in his body, giving him membership in that exclusive group of people who are commonly described as having Down syndrome. Frank describes himself as an Actor, Author, and Advocate.
ReelAbilities, powered by the Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia, is part of the largest film festival in the country dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of people with different abilities. The 4th annual Greater DC festival will feature 18 screenings will be held at more than 15 partner locations. Post-screening discussions and special programs bring together the community to explore, embrace and advocate for our friends, neighbors, co-workers, and families.
