New Orleans Cat Art and Film Festival
Art for Cats' Sake, SpayMart and LA SPCA are proud to present the 2nd annual New Orleans Cat Art and Film Festival, featuring all things cat!
Through the generosity of our sponsors, including our Platinum Sponsor Crosswalk Media Agency, we are excited to announce our move to uptown. Join us at Kingsley House Saturday, June 27th from 10:00am to 5:00pm to celebrate our feline friends.
CATS RULE THE INTERNET!
The only thing more fun than watching funny cat videos on the internet is watching funny cat videos with hundreds of your closest cat-loving friends! A large screen will be showing the award winning Walker Art Center compilation of funny internet cat videos throughout the day.
SPECIAL GUESTS!
Paul Klausman and TJ Wingard of "An Engineer's Guide to Cats" fame will be in attendance and available for photo ops and signing memorabilia.
ART!
Multiple artists featuring various interpretations of the feline form will be selling everything from original artwork to prints, sculpture, jewelry and more! Get your art straight from the local artists! You may even find someone taking commissions to paint your own pet. Immortalize your kitty the way it deserves!
CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA - NEW THIS YEAR!
Face painting, various games and activities to entertain and amaze! Color your own original art, then take a picture with a larger than life seven foot tall feline! Try your luck at plucking a feline faced rubber ducky from our pond or make your way through our obstacle course to win all sorts of cool prizes.
PHOTO CONTEST!
Don't forget to enter your pictures of your favorite feline in our fabulous back-by-popular-demand photo contest. Categories like "If I fits, I sits" and "Cats in Hats" give you the chance to win a beautiful glass water bowl from PawNosh - a $55 value!

RULES (because cats rule):
- Photos must be original photographs taken by person entering and not copied from a 3rd party.
- Entries must be submitted before midnight, June 20, 2015.
- All digital files should be 5 megabytes or smaller and in JPEG or .jpg format.
- All submitted photographs will become the property of Art for Cats Sake, SpayMart, and LASPCA and may be used in future promotions.
- You may enter as many times as you'd like.
- Email your photo submissions to NOCAAFFphotos15@yahoo.com
- Put the category you are entering in the Subject line, and include your name, your cat's name, and your phone number in the email.
- Please, one category per email. Multiple emails are fine!
Missed the contest? No worries! Look for our Photo Caption Contest at the festival. Write the winning caption for the photo posted at the festival and win a PawNosh bowl!
NOMS!
It's not a New Orleans festival without FOOD. Featuring the ever-popular mid-city restaurant "Katie's" serving CHARGRILLED OYSTERS and more, your taste buds will be delighted. Beer, wine and a special feline themed libation in a souvenir cup will be available for purchase, as well as pizza, snowballs, ice cream and other treats. Also look for special vegan fare including Chamain O'Mahony's fantastic feline cookies.
RAFFLES!
We will raffle off six different baskets full of goodies at the festival, valued at $50 and $200. We are working hard to bring you some exciting offerings; details will be released once the baskets are finalized.
And don't forget to enter the 50/50 raffle at the door. Win some extra spending money to use at the festival (or for cat toys and treats)!
KITTY KNOWLEDGE!
This year we are excited to introduce a series of short sessions bringing you information and insight on some of the most interesting and important cat topics.
Speakers will make a short presentation and then you can ask your burning questions! Come learn about Cat Myths and Mysteries, Cat CPR, Trap Neuter Return, Inappropriate House Soiling, and much more. Session times are now posted on Facebook!

Tabby Tips!
Enter on Annunciation Street. The action will be happening in and around the Kingsley House Gymnasium.
Come as you are or wear your best cat costume, outfit or even ears. Don't have cat ears? No worries! Cat ear headbands will be available for purrchase at the festival so everyone can join in the fun.
A festival isn't complete without music! Our DJ will be jazzing it up out on the quad, so bring a blanket to spread on the grass and do your best lounging-like-a-cat impression.
If you plan on soaking up some summer sun, don't forget your sunscreen. If you're more of a cool cat, there are lovely shady trees outside and air conditioning inside.
The Internet Cat Video compilation is exceedingly popular and wildly entertaining. With about 70 minutes of footage, the first screening will begin at 10:30 am and run approximately every hour and a half to offer as many viewing opportunities as possible. Plan accordingly, as you don't want to miss out!
