RELICE SECURE(Secure Dem Sound/Baylando Records) started writing songs at the age of 15 over beats he was making at home with a small drum machine and a simple, sampler.
He released his first album "Street Scholars" in 1997. After co-founding Street Scholars Records with Sergio "DJ Serg" Monleon in 2001, he went on to release his sophomore album "Note to Self" in 2004, which featured artists such as, Zion I, Pep Love (Heiroglyphics), and Eye Cue (Hobo Junction). In 2005, after going to school for music production, Relic turned his attention to DJ'ing and producing. He founded Secure Dem Sound and within a year was spinning all over the Bay Area. He quickly built a reputation through releasing quality mixtapes featuring exclusive tracks with the biggest names in Reggae music as well as showcasing new talent. Relic has been a stage DJ for artists such as Sister Nancy, Jahdan Blakkammore, Pressure, Lutan Fyah, Terry Ganzie, Turbulence, Niyorah and Tousaint the Liberator. His unparalleled stage presence and remarkable, connection with audiences has
helped him build a name for himself in the West Coast hip hop community. Relic's latest single "Hustler Meditation!" is available on Baylando Records.
