IT'S ABOUT TIME - Angie Nicholson
Angie Nicholson steps out in her first solo cabaret show, "It's About Time", Friday and Saturday, June 5-6th 8PM at The Chapel, 6238 Alexander Drive, Clayton, MO.  With some cool rhythms, luscious melodies, and jazzy tunes from Michael McDonald, Randy Newman and Stephen Sondheim just to name a few, Angie is ready to razzle dazzle the room.  In this show, Angie steps out of the choir and up to the mic - "It's About Time"!!   Musical director Rick Jensen and director Lina Koutrakos help to make this an evening of music not to be missed!

The Chapel is a not-for-profit music venue, performance space and art gallery with the aim of helping St. Louis position itself as a premier city for the arts and music.  Two complimentary drinks (beer, wine, soda) are included with the show and donated by friends of The Chapel.

Produced by Mariposa Artists.

Angie Nicholson has always been a lover and student of music.  At an early age, she began playing and singing in church and has continuously participated in bands, orchestras, choirs and ensembles.  While a student at Indiana University, she studied trumpet and performed in the annual "IU Sing" competitions as a soloist and director. Angie discovered Cabaret in a workshop led by Lina Koutrakos and Rick Jensen just over a year ago and is excited to be premiering her first show in St. Louis at The Chapel. A long time cantor and member of the College Church choir in mid-town, St. Louis, Angie is finally stepping into the spotlight to share her voice and her love of song.

Rick Jensen is certainly no stranger to the St. Louis cabaret scene.  The multi-talented singer, songwriter, director, and producer served as music director for many local cabaret performers and has starred in several sold-out solo performances in town.  Rick's compositions have become standards on the New York City Club circuit, garnering him critical praise and earning him six Manhattan Association of Cabaret and Clubs MAC Awards including "Tonight, New York City: The Rick Jensen Songbook," written, musical directed, and hosted by Rick Jensen, directed by Lina Koutrakos at the Metropolitan Room in New York (2012).
