A Love Supreme - The Legacy Lives On
Presented by Jazz Music City and WFSK 88.1FM, world-renowned saxophonist Rahsaan Barber will lead an ensemble of Nashville's finest jazz performers through an evening of selections associated with jazz icon John Coltrane, concluding with a performance of his groundbreaking suite "A Love Supreme," in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of its release in 1965 on Impulse Records. Barber will be joined onstage by the Jazz Music City All-Stars, featuring drummer Nioshi Jackson, pianist Joe Davidian, and bassist Jon Estes, as well as a host of special guests, including Rahsaan's twin brother, trombonist Roland Barber, pianist Matt Endahl, and guitarist James DaSilva.
The concert will be held at the historic Fisk Chapel on Monday, April 20, at 7:30pm.
