Touch Me Philly's Reasonable Fear: A Theatrical Exploration of Street Harassment & Rape Culture

April 16-25 2015 at The Luna Theater.

Reasonable Fear: A Theatrical Exploration of Street Harassment & Rape Culture from Touch Me Philly Productions, is a series that takes on these issues head on and will help to transform our city, starting with its citizens.  The events featured share survivors' tales and the difficulty of reporting crimes like these. They also explore street harassment, talk about sexual objectification between individuals and from the media, the societal acceptance of rape culture, and also give stories of hope.  Our main stage show and surrounding events like comedy & film events, workshops, self defense classes, and more, give Philly a variety of ways to approach these tough subjects. Reasonable Fear will not only entertain but also help audiences to think about these difficult realities and learn what they can do to make our streets safer for all of us.

Thank you for attending Reasonable Fear, A Theatrical Exploration of Street Harassment & Rape Culture. It was an honor to present this series in more ways than we, the producers, can express. Rather than us trying, please let us gush to you at a future Touch Me Philly Production! Keep up with us through social media, or via www.TouchMePhilly.com where you can also subscribe to our e-newsletter. We look forward to seeing you at the next show. Reasonable Fear took on a lot of difficult subjects, and we know that the journeys we are taking are all different and profound. Please note, that it is not uncommon for exploration of these topics to dredge up unpleasant or surprising memories and feelings that can include seemingly unexplained sadness or confusion, even weeks after being explored. If you find yourself experiencing these feelings, don't worry, you're not weird! You're just a human dealing with complex and emotional experiences and thoughts. We have provided a list of resources and information on our website for you to use. This information also includes phone numbers for people you can talk to, and safe places you can go. The paths we tread can be difficult, but you don't have to walk them alone.
