Step Up for Kids is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to support new parents during the emotionally rigorous times of postpartum-to-preschool parenthood. Our initiatives, like the peer-to-peer Mom to Mom program and the effort to place child-friendly Stepstools in local businesses' restrooms, all aim to empower new parents and their young children to create healthy, happy habits. In 2015, we are working hard to raise funds to open a brand new bricks-and-mortar family gathering place we are calling The Parent Co.
At our event, Stepping Out for Step Up, you'll enjoy delicious food, dessert, and drinks from local Prescott businesses. We'll provide music and inspire conversations, especially concerning The Parent Co. There will be opportunities to participate in a silent auction, learn about step stools, and join the "Founder's Wall."
The silent auction will feature an array of beautiful Stepstools, hand-decorated by local artisans, as well as other treasures from Prescott-area restaurants, shops and merchants. Proceeds from the event will go towards Step Up for Kids' effort to create a bricks-and-mortar family gathering place that will support parents and their young children in Prescott and beyond.
Our Founder's Wall will be an assembly of ceramic tiles with a flowing continuous artistic design. Purchasing a tile will add your name as a Founder for The Parent Co. View the design at the event, choose a tile, and decide what your tile will say.
Each ticket includes hors d'oeuvres, two drink tickets, free childcare for those who reserve at the Children's Garden at 777-9150, and the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind, artistically crafted Stepstools and other great auction items.
