In conjunction with our April exhibition, "Carpe Librum: The Art of the Book," Bainbridge Arts & Crafts will bring together a panel of some of the region's most exciting book artists for a lively discussion and presentation about what lies at the heart of their intriguing art form.
The panel will be moderated by Lou Cabeen, artist and Associate Professor in the School of Art at the University of Washington. She will be joined by book artists Mare Blocker, Catherine Alice Michaelis, and Sande Wascher-James. A Q&A will follow.
The event takes place at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 12 in the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art Auditorium. An informal reception will follow at 4 p.m. in the BIMA Bistro.
"Carpe Librum: The Art of the Book" features 33 artists and runs April 3-26 at Bainbridge Arts & Crafts, 151 Winslow Way E., Bainbridge Island.
